Antoine Roegiers, alumnus and teacher, exhibits "The Carnival of Giants" in Paris
Antoine Roegiers, former student and teacher at Atelier de Sèvres, exhibits "The Carnival of Giants" at the Galerie Suzanne Tarasieve, in Paris.
The Carnival of Giants
From 1st February until 7th March, Antoine Roegiers exhibits at Galerie Suzanne Tarasieve.
The entire exhibition revolves around a central artwork, Carnavals. This large altarpiece is comprised of four oil paintings on wood and a video work, originally inspired by Pieter Bruegel’s painting "The Fight between Carnival and Lent".
Antoine Roegiers recreates a world spanning the Flemish masters of the 16th century to Ensor in the 19th century, bringing us a completely unique reinterpretation. He immerses the viewer in his feelings, making them enter the painting, to reveal his singular vision.
Former student and teacher at Atelier de Sèvres
Multidisciplinary artist Antoine Roegiers graduated from Beaux-Arts de Paris in 2007. He was awarded the Prix Roger Bataille Prize the same year. In 2012, he obtained a residency at the 8-Art Centre in Beijing.
The Atelier de Sèvres alumnus now teaches life drawing to art and animation foundation students at the school.
