Mon Juke-box at the César Awards 2020
It was announced on 16th September that Mon juke-box, directed by Florentine Grelier, animation foundation teacher at Atelier de Sèvres, is in the running for the Best Short Animation category at the 2020 César awards. The film will be competing alongside 11 others. The winner will be decided by the members of the Comité Animation de l’Académie des Arts et Techniques du Cinéma in January.
A shortlist that reveals not only the quality of the short film made by the teacher, but also the great professionalism of the teams at Atelier de Sèvres.
An award-winning animated short film
Last June, on the occasion of the Annecy International Animated Film Festival, Mon juke-box was awarded the Prix André-Martin 2019 for a French short film. This award was initiated by the journalist Francis Gavelle, and created in tribute to André Martin, the famous film critic and director of animated films.
Mon juke-box also received the Screenplay/Animation Category Award at the Buddha International Film Festival. From Bali to Iceland, Greece, Lebanon and Finland, this animated short film has travelled around the world being screened at several festivals.
