Students visit the Annecy International Animation Film Festival
Animation students are taking part in the 2018 edition of the Annecy International Animated Film Festival, which is being held this year from 11th to 16th June.
The international animated cinema event
Once again this year, Atelier de Sèvres and the animation degree course are visiting Annecy Festival, the world's leading animated film event. This is an opportunity for students to discover the latest animation news through short films, feature films, works in progress, pitch sessions and conferences, and through the projection of more than 500 films.
Professional meetings at MIFA
Students and teaching staff attended MIFA, the international animated film market organised every year by the festival. At the heart of this major event in the animation industry, future graduates met many professionals during the recruitment sessions with major animation studios. They were able to present their portfolios and demo tapes. This is an ideal opportunity for them to build their professional network and find an internship.
The team and students from the animation degree course also had the pleasure of seeing Eddie Mehong (founder of the Franco-Japanese animation studio Yapiko) and Thomas Romain (from No Border studio in Tokyo) who visited Atelier de Sèvres a few months ago to give a one-off lecture to the animation students.
This event is an opportunity for the school to strengthen its links with the various producers, directors and institutions of the animation industry present, with a view to building future partnerships that will benefit students.
Animation degree course
The Animation degree course is a laboratory where a new generation of future writer-directors and animators flourishes. This three-year graduate programme is an animated film school open to contemporary creation combining cinema, animation, writing, art and experimentation.
